Tired of hearing about Vegas? Well you won't when you read this! Also, there’s
so much I want to share with those that couldn’t be there! I want to share one of
my favorite things I learned about in Deanna Jump’s presentation on Guided
Reading. Are you ready? It’s the latest
version of the Whisper Phone!!!! This new version is awesome for guided reading
groups. A teacher is able to monitor individual readers as well as group
monitoring. Check it out for more
details as best described by WhisperPhones!
And guess what? I've
decided to give one away! You can

Teaching in Blue Jeans
It was my pleasure! I would love to do monthly giveaways but really haven't a clue about what kind of things! All that comes to my mind are general things that stateside people can't get a hold of easily like Polish pottery, Italian mask, Belgium chocolate....LOL!
DeleteI love this idea
ReplyDeleteI've seen this before!! Any teacher would be thrilled to have this for guided reading groups.
ReplyDeleteHi Jessica! Yes, when I saw it I knew I wanted to give one away!
DeleteI pinned.
ReplyDeletethanks so much!
DeleteHi Lcie, I just found your blog through another blog. Where in Germany do you teach. I attended DoD schools in Germany until I started high school, and I must say that I have very fond memories of those schools. At one point in my career I really wanted to teach overseas (In fact I would still love to), but family and our farm keep me rooted here. Love the blog, I'm your newest follower!!

The 85 Mile Commute
Hi Karen! I live in a tiny village (remember the size of the towns?) about 1 and 1/2 hrs away from Ramstein but the nearest city I woud have to say is Luxembourg City, Lux. I have truly enjoyed my experiences here, but I know what you mean about family ties!
DeleteHi Lcie,
DeleteI lived in Giessen, Ramstein, Kaiserslautern (good-old K-Town), and Wiesbaden. I would love if you posted pictures sometime!
take care,
karen
The 85 Mile Commute
Sure! As a matter of fact I stopped to take pictures today on my way home! The vineyards looked so beautiful and need to be shared so I hope to post them in a day or so! When I get to K-Town - I'll take pics for you, ok? :)
DeleteWould love this!!
ReplyDeleteYes, any teacher would and for that matter the kids too!
DeleteI love this! I am starting the Daily 5 this year and this would be uh-mazing!!! I started following you most places that I could. I don't have my own blog, yet. I honestly don't know how y'all find the time!!!! How do you??? It's on my list of 13-14 goals of the year. I need to figure it all out~Thanks!!! Amy
ReplyDeleteActually I thought the same to but it hasn't been too bad. The start up is the most work but if you do it over the summer then the rest is easy. If I can be of any help I would be glad to try to answer your questions! :)

Wow Crystal, thanks so much for all the effort you've put in! I'm gonna have to think twice about giving away another one away in the spring as well! I love giveaways!
DeleteThis would definitely cut down on chatter in the classroom but still allow the students to have a discussion. Love it!
