We are mad about
math in the month of March! Why? Because
this is the time of year when we see the “magic” of math really begin to make
connections with young children. Instead of copying patterns, children are creating
their own, counting to 100 not only by 1’s, but by 10’s, 5’s, and 2’s, graphing,
adding and subtracting, talking about hexagons, trapezoids and rhombus’ and
using math words in every day conversations.
Wow, we’ve come a long way since September. It really is magic!
Pictures
of Germany:
Some of the great
mathematicians such as Albert Einstein came from Germany, therefore I’ve
included pictures of this beautiful country! The top two collages were taken by moi and the next few collages were taken by my assistant’s hubby, Mr. M.L (the Black Forest)! What talent!
