As important as the first week of
school is for teachers and children to establish a routine and a learning
environment, we also know it is more important to take care of family first.
Unfortunately, I am back in the states to help with a death in the family.
With the start of this school year. This
is definitely one of the challenges of living overseas. Thank goodness the
majority of our military students are flexible and able to adapt to changes
when necessary. It may not be the ideal
start of a school year for the Beezy
Teacher, but we will adapt to the changes as well.
Although it’s difficult today to see
beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.”

No
words could ever express our appreciation for the love and support the
community of Hondo, Texas has shown to us after the passing of our dad. We are deeply and eternally grateful for
being a part of a wonderful community in one way or
another.
From
the Hondo Police Department, to the Hondo
Hospital staff, Hondo Funeral Home, and the St. John’s Parish Community, the
support given to our family during this
difficult time was a soothing balm.
The
Bereavement Committee of St. John’s
and other supporting parish family
members offered their
skills at hospitality and food preparation to provide the small reception following
the service. This
allowed us to focus on the comfort, love, and healing taking place.
Coming
together as a community to support each other, remembering our dad, and
sharing memories with grieving families and friends, are all parts of a
continuing tradition at St. John’s Parish in Hondo.
For
those who attended the services, the lovely flowers and donations to
foundations and charities in the name of our father, we thank you. We appreciate you taking the time to come and
share in the remembrance of our dad. Although this is a sad time for all of
us, we find comfort in knowing how
fortunate, he was in knowing you. We
will miss him so much but it gives us comfort at how loved he was by many.
Losing
him has been a very painful experience. Your loving support has been a great
help. Thank you for being there when we needed you most.
We’ll
always love you.
